LOW EMISSION ZONE AND TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Please note that there are traffic restrictions in the metropolitan area of Barcelona on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Foreign License Plate Cars:

All foreign vehicles must register and pay €5. The initial application will take approximately 15 working days to process (almost one calendar month). You can register at: https://zberegistre.ambmobilitat.cat/es/VehiclesEstrangers

Foreign vehicles that do not meet environmental requirements can obtain an authorization to circulate in the LEZ for 10 days per year during restricted hours (weekdays from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm). Once registered, a daily authorization can be requested (variable cost per day, to be consulted on the City Council’s website) until 11:59 pm the day before.

Foreign vehicles that do not comply with environmental requirements podrán obtener una autorización para circular por la ZBE durante 10 días al año en el horario restringido (laborables de 7:00 a 20:00). DIRECTIONS

Whatever your origin, follow the signs to the B-10 Ronda del Litoral, which runs along the coast.

From France: Exit at Exit 22 towards Barceloneta/Pla de Palau/Via Laietana/Port Vell. Follow C/ del Dr. Aiguader for about 500 meters until you reach Pla de Palau, next to Plaça de Pau Vila. Take the exit at Pla de Palau and turn left onto Passeig de Isabel II. Continue straight, the name of the street will change to Passeig de Colom and will take you directly to the Columbus monument. At the square, take the first exit towards Las Ramblas. After about 750 meters, you will reach Plaça de la Boqueria where you can unload your luggage. Walk about 40 meters towards Carrer del Cardenal Casañas to reach the hotel. If you prefer to stop in front of the hotel, continue along the Rambla until you turn right on Carrer de la Canuda, then take Avenida del Portal de l’Ángel, exiting onto Carrer de la Cucurulla. Then take Carrer del Pi on your left, turn slightly right towards Plaça del Pi and continue straight to Carrer del Cardenal Casañas.

From Madrid or Valencia: Exit at Exit 21, Ciutat Vella, and follow Passeig Josep Carner until the roundabout at Plaça de Drassanes where you should continue straight, taking the third exit. – If you decide to take the metro, use line L3 (green) and get off at Liceu station. The hotel is less than 100 meters from the station. Exit the metro and head to Plaça de la Boqueria in front. From there, take the street on the left, leaving the Rambla. The hotel is less than 50 meters away.

– If you prefer the bus, take the Aerobús (A1 or A2) and get off at Plaça Catalunya. From there, you can take a taxi, take the metro (one stop on the L3 green line to Liceu) or enjoy a 700-meter walk along Las Ramblas to Carrer del Cardenal Casañas. The cost of the Aerobús is approximately €5.90 per person per trip.

– If you decide to travel by metro, the L9 Sud (orange) line will take you to Zona Universitaria, where you need to transfer to the L3 (green) line and get off at Liceu. From there, the hotel is less than 100 meters away. Exit the metro and walk along Las Ramblas towards the sea, turning right onto Carrer del Cardenal Casañas.
